Hymns for Humanity

Hymn: A song, text or other composition which honors, praises, celebrates something. For years I’ve been creating and crafting simple chants, songs and prayers to honor the earth, elements and seasons. These vocalizations have been mostly private soundings expressed from the solitude and safety of my backyard. They tend to shape shift, taking on different personas and personalities. Because of this, none have been polished or perfected to what I would consider a “public sharing” standard. But, recently I began to realize that this collection of personal “Hymns” might be of service or inspiration somehow. The voice is valuable channel for personal and planetary healing. The very word Sound implies wellness, strength and integrity. The Sanskrit name for the throat chakra is Vishuddha, meaning Pure or to Purify. This is the chakra of purification and the bridge between the mind and heart.
